How to Follow St. Peter on Twitter
How To Sign-Up for Twitter
- Create a FREE Twitter account at Twitter.com/signup
- It is suggested you use your name as the account name. (ex. John_Doe or JohnDoe)
- You may skip the “Find Friends” option if you want.
- Next, Proceed to Twitter.com/StPeterLCMS
- Under the Church Logo, click “Follow”
- You are now following St. Peter’s "tweets".
So, how do you get updates?
You have three options.
Option One: Desktop Apps or Browser Plugins
a. There are MANY destop applications which allow you to get your twitter updates. Do a Google Search and see which work best for you.
b. For those who use the FireFox web browser, TwitterFox is an excelent plugin that will display "tweets" in the lower right hand corner of your browser.
Options Two: Cellphones Apps
Many brands of cellphones, especially Blackberrys and iPhones, offer applications you can install on your phone to check for updates.
Option Three: Text Message
1) Click “Settings” in the upper right hand corner.
2) Select “Devices” on the tabbed menu bar.
3) Enter in your cell phone number you would like to receive the text message on Example: +18478853350
a. make sure you check “It’s okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone.”
b. Press save and you are ready to go!
