Sunday School Information

We offer two Sunday School programs on Sunday morning. One is called Kingdom Quest; this is for children age 2 – Kindergarten. Kingdom Quest is a fun, dynamic way of learning Bible stories in what we call a rotation style. If you attend VBS here at St. Peter this is very similar!

Age 2 and 3 year olds gather together to learn the Bible Story and Take Home point through a Bible story time, game time, snack time, and craft time. Each month is themed to help them better understand and learn just how much God loves them!

PARENTS of our 2 year olds: 2 year olds are very excited to learn about Jesus but they need a little extra help. That’s why we ask that you, the parent, or another responsible adult stay in the classroom with your child and participate along with them.

Parents of our 3 year old: Regardless if your child has started preschool this year. He/she will be excited to be able to attend Sunday School by themselves this year! However, this can be scary the first few weeks and sometimes throughout the Sunday school year they may just want you to be with them. That’s OK! We encourage you to continue to participate with your child in Sunday School. If you want to help them be a little more independent, we will help you with that as well. However we ask that you remain in the building during this time so we can find you if a need arises. Thank You!

4 year olds – Kindergarten begin in the Drama room where they will learn the Bible story from Bubba and Judy, our very friendly puppet friends. Then they will be divided into 3 smaller groups and rotate between games, crafts, and snacks. After they have had a chance for all 3 stations they will come back and teach Albie, our very forgetful bird friend, what they learned. Albie is so forgetful they will need to tell him what they learned 3 or 4 times before he can remember!

Our second program is called Buzz; this is for our friends in 1st-5th grade! Each grade meets in their own classroom and will experience the Bible in an exciting and personal way. Each child has a different learning style, that’s why Buzz makes it fun for all kids to learn AND remember these Biblical truths because they get to pick what works best for them! Whether it’s reading, writing, drawing, acting, singing, games, or one of the other many activity choices, the kids will have a blast buzzing around in their Bibles!

All grades will follow the same schedule as stated below:
When: September 11, 2011 – May 20, 2012
We will not meet on November 27, December 25, January 1, April 1 or April 8
Time: 10am – 10:55am
